Maternity Leave Cover  -  Deputy Manager - Closing Date: 7 December 2021

We are currently seeking to employ a qualified childcare practitioner to cover the maternity leave of our Deputy Manager. This post will be available immediately, to allow some familiarisation before the maternity leave starts in December. It is expected to be a one-year fixed term contract.

As well as working as a team member in the setting, the successful candidate will work with the Manager on various administration and management tasks, taking responsibility for some aspects of the Pre-School. As Deputy Manager, the successful applicant will deputise for the Manager in the event of the Manager’s absence.

The successful applicant should have a relevant qualification (Teaching, NVQ level 3 in Child Care and Education, or equivalent). Relevant management or supervisory experience is desirable but not essential.  It is expected that the successful applicant will become a Key Person with a group of children attending the morning sessions and will supervise some sessions each week.

Learning Support Assistant - Closing Date: 7 December 2021

We are looking to recruit two additional Learning Support Assistants (LSA). LSA’s work on a one-to-one basis with a child with additional needs, to help them access the programme and facilities of pre-school. The hours will match the child’s attendance, for example Monday morning and afternoon, and then Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. The LSA would be employed for 15 hours per week. The posts are funded at least until July 2022.
